Here’s your chance for a camp that doesn’t evoke Susan Sontag or Billy Bratzinski who stuck your hand into warm water while you were sleeping and made you pee your cot at Camp Led-to-Therapy. Nope, this is Cupcake Camp Santa Barbara, a one-afternoon event on Sunday, July 25, 1-4 p.m., at Fess Parker’s DoubleTree Resort that not only promises to put the frosting on your delicious day but also offers a cupcake eating contest, a Betsey Johnson Party Dress Fashion Show, and a “Cute as a Cupcake” Fashion Runway Parade. Most importantly, none of the consumed calories will count, as all the proceeds from the event go to the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara, and you’re just not allowed to gain weight while doing good.
