Anyone struggling to make sense of the tragic mass killing in Tucson and the dramatic rise of dogmatic and extremist politics and religion in this country could, perhaps, find some understanding and perspective in the words of Buddhist teacher, writer, and practitioner Thich Nhat Hanh:
“If you have a gun, you can shoot one, two, three, five people, but if you have an ideology and stick to it, you can kill millions.”

Perhaps the author would do well to point out the leftist poltics has become in and of itself like a religion.
Plenty of hatred on the Left as well; just read some of the comments posted on this website.
