Thursday, February 2, 2012

Kate Smith, who frequently finds herself behind the microphone at public City Council and Board of Supervisors meetings, was found guilty this week of trespassing, refusing to leave private property, and resisting arrest. She was sentenced to a $1,000 fine or 100 hours of community service. She told The Santa Barbara Independent she is going to appeal the case, but if forced to do community service will be “occupying the courts.”
