JOURNALISM ON THE BRAIN: Put even a small dollop of sour cream on Amanda Garcia’s plate, and she won’t eat anything on it. But give her a story lead to follow, and she’ll devour it with a voracious appetite. The UCSB senior majoring in political science with a minor in English has been in the news game since high school, now holding a top spot at UCSB’s The Bottom Line and interning at The Santa Barbara Independent.
