Where: Mobile; see facebook.com/roaddogsinc.
What: A small operation with big dogs.
How Much: Meals average $8.
The Dish: A Mac Daddy at Road Dogs’ stainless-steel hot dog cart gets you a snappy sausage, mac and cheese, onions, and bacon in a bun. Known to park itself all over town, from Municipal Winemakers in the Funk Zone to the Wildcat Lounge, the S.B.-owned cart is a family-run business. Husband-and-wife owners Carol Dailey and Jared Guthrie dished their first dog last year, opting for a less-invasive cart with a ketchup-and-mustard–colored striped umbrella instead of a larger mobile food truck. Potato salad fans will swoon over the Picnic Dog: smothered with Dailey’s homemade potato salad and crushed BBQ potato chips. Quench your thirst with a cream soda, and don’t feel bad going back for seconds; the nine-inch Nathan-style snap dog can be quite tempting for firsts, seconds, and thirds.

At Costco an all beef, kosher dog available with sauerkraut, 2 types of mustard, fresh onions, relish etc. AND a bottomless coke is $1.62 with tax. OK, so you have to drive to Goleta but I'm just sayin'...
