Ah poor Holly. Not to worry. No matter what changes come, all the designs, all regulations and all the standards will be from that of an engineer and from behind her or his windshield. It just may be a little more friendly to those on two feet or non-motorized wheels. And you will get to where you are going.

Word of the "incorrectitude." Should go the way of truthiness. Later, in another matter Hotchkiss was found to project his confusion onto the public and then state that he thought he cleared it up.
It is very nice to have the fresh perspective of Council Member Murillo on the dais.

Fabulous, bravo, bellissima; except that we have to remember that as we push people around and out, the people that cannot make it or choose not to participate in this elective and corrupt economic model, artisan or not, that these people will go somewhere. We need to plan for these people, these humans, they have rights.

Yeah anyone can have some good ideas that are coincidentally constitutional. But if you want 50 run-amok live free or die states claiming states rights on everything from food safety, transportation, education, inter-state commerce, immigration, health care, and personal liberties transferred across state lines, while pushing a wheelbarrow of gold around to shop for bread, milk and eggs, or a nuttier than a holiday fruitcake candidate, then vote for Ron Paul.

Eckermann I was just reminiscing. But you need to recall that not so long ago Santa Barbara was just like Goleta is now. And in a previous conversation about annexation a Santa Barbara Mayor came under fire for saying that Goleta was designed to make guacamole for Santa Barbara. Things do change and can change quickly. Where are all those avocado, lemon and lime orchards anyway. Keep your eye on the Chamber of C. Don't be surprised at what they're up to behind the scenes.

This parcel tax is real simple. We need both W and X. Our community will benefit greatly for the additional $58 dollars a year per parcel. This is the only way we are going to continue funding local elementary and secondary education at any reasonable level. There are no monies elsewhere for these educational purposes. So it is up to us locally. Yes on W and X will essentially continue 2 existing 2008 parcel taxes and for just $58 total more will be provided. Keep in mind the cuts over the last several years. The community will be getting a really good deal.

There must have been a law enforcement stand-down-order in this celebration of these privileged axles and tailpipes. From Alston Rd to the Sea, and Alan Rd. to Highway 101 it was an idiotic cacophony of mostly immature full-throttled adult males on their pastimes and in their toys. All for the benefit of questionable non-profits. The start of the year, of the big F-U, to the lip-service Slow Down Santa Barbara and other reasonable policies, laws, codes, civil codes and just ordinary civics. Good reporting there pseudonym'd Indy Staff.

Its kind of strange, this Goleta celebration of permits, growth and social stratification. I thought Goletians battled each other and fought hostile annexations bids from the Ciudad de Santa Barbara to prevent growth. But alas we see that Cityhood was more of a Chamber effort for growth and any growth is good growth, slow, medium or fast.

Ken_Volok et al ; There are, I think, at least two hyperbolic scientist commenters here. And they're both using pseudonyms and they have questionable agendas. The restoration will be under public and peer review and constant scrutiny by various agencies. That is the place for "scientist" input.

billclausen; You always talk a good independent game. But you more often than not end up with a right wing talking point conclusion.
I think the mainstream media is doing Ron Paul a favor by not revealing his nuttiness. I mean, could they ever ask Paul where all this "gold" for this gold backing would come from. Where would we mine it. My backyard? What countries of continents would be invade to get it?
We can assign a value to anything. Bottle caps? We choose paper and plastic. Gold is too heavy. So in this pro-growth economic system called capitalism we have these make believe monetary systems and with with pyramid schemes to provide for the general welfare of the people. All we need are smart and honest people with checks and balances, oversight and a public that isn't so paranoid and selfish to make it flourish for everyone. So don't vote for Ron Paul, Romney or in general republicans until they clean up their act.
On Vote Ron Paul for President
