I believe Caruso is the last of three developers who tried to work with Montecito residents - residents who really want the land turned into their very own little park. Step up to the plate big boy, buy the place and do what you want to with it. The Miramar looks like a dump today because the city of Montecito has poisoned the efforts of 21/2 developers. We're lucky that Caruso has thick skin, otherwise he would have bailed out just like the previous two owners did.

The headline says guilty of battery on his girlfriend, but the article states guilty of battery on his girlfriend's son, and not guilty of domestic violence on his girlfriend.
Am I the only one confused here?

For those who care, there is very little oil in the Sacramento Basin. Venoco operates several GAS fields in Sacramento Basin.
They also own and operate three platforms in the Santa Barbara Channel: Holly, Gail and Grace.

OK, help me out here. I understand that the proposed Target will be built over three existing buildings on the NE corner of Hollister and Los Carneros Way. There is some undeveloped land NE of the existing buildings (bordered by development off Willow Spgs Ln.) Will there be development there as well? Otherwise, environmentally, this doesn't seem to be such a big deal.

22 year old has sex with teenager. That teen could be 19 yrs old. Now the guy will be called a sex offender. This is where the tough child protection laws get a bit vague. I'm glad Hank is only blogging from a sofa and isn't judge, jury and executioner!
