Further, aside from a CalTrans opinion, what is the reason for closing the left lane off ramp at Cabrillo Blvd.? Is there any record of accdents related to current configuration?

Vicky Harbison deserves respect and accolades for doing such a positive and beautiful action. I believe her kindness will be rewarded when her protege completes his work in the U.S. and returns to Ugenda.

Does someone have a suggestion for me? I use cloth bags most of the time, but ocassionally use plastic bags so that then I can use them as kitchen waste basket liners. I have never discarded a plastic bag other than in approved sites and am equally careful with all trash disposal.
It seems unfair to punish me because others choose to be careless.

I am surprised that not one of the responders had anything to say about the person who intervened by saying the police were being called. Without that help the injury could have been much worse. We should all be thanking him/her.
Having citizens who are willing to intervene is a good part of what makes a city desieable

There isn't anything in the world that would satisfy the diverse population of santa Barbara. Personally I think the wings are beautiful and an appropriate memento to the pilots who flew from this airport.
